DOSAGE AND USAGE INFORMATION
Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA):
No RDA has been established. Oral supplements are destroyed in
the intestine and do not get absorbed. Therefore they can exert
NO influence.
What this nucleic acid does:
Nucleic acids form the substance of DNA (desoxyribonucleic
acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid). "Messages" are transferred
because of the actions of the purine and pyrimidine bases of DNA
and RNA, which include adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine.
These messages form encoded genetic instructions that guide the
development of all living cells.
Supplements have been advertised for oral use, topical use (as
in cosmetics) and injectable use. "Cellular therapy," once
popular in Europe, is the practice of injecting preparations of
cells from young animals into humans with the false promise of
replacing "worn-out" tissues in aging human bodies. These
treatments are extremely expensive, dangerous and have been
completely discredited.
No positive effects can be possible with oral forms.
Available as:
Tablets and capsules: Swallow whole with full glass of liquid.
Don't chew or crush. Take with meals or 1 to 1-1/2 hours after
meals unless otherwise directed by your doctor. These are
normally found in health-food stores.
Injectable forms are administered by doctor or nurse.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Don't take if you:
Have any medical problem listed under UNPROVED SPECULATED
BENEFITS. There may be safer, more-effective treatments.

Effect on lab tests:
None known.
Storage:
Store in cool, dry place away from direct light, but don't
freeze.
Store safely out of reach of children.
Don't store in bathroom medicine cabinet. Heat and moisture
may change action of nucleic acid.
Others:
Injectable forms can cause serious reactions, including
anaphylaxis, serum sickness and transfer of disease.
OVERDOSE/TOXICITY
Signs and symptoms:
None for oral forms. For injectable forms, see ADVERSE
REACTIONS OR SIDE EFFECTS section below.
What to do:
For symptoms of overdosage: Discontinue nucleic acid, and
consult doctor. Also see ADVERSE REACTIONS OR SIDE EFFECTS
section below.
For accidental overdosage (such as child taking entire
bottle): Dial 911 (emergency), 0 for operator or your nearest
Poison Control Center.
