Basic Information
Bioflavinoids are a brightly colored, chemical constituent of
pulp and rind of citrus fruits, green pepper, apricots,
cherries, grapes, papaya, tomatoes, papaya, broccoli.
Chemicals this supplement contains:
Hesperidin
Nobiletin
Rutin
Sinensetin
Tangeretin
KNOWN EFFECTS:
Treats rare bioflavinoid deficiency characterized by fragile
capillaries and unusual bleeding.
May act as an anti-oxidant, preventing vitamin C and adrenalin
from being oxidized by copper-containing enzymes.
Miscellaneous information:
Bioflavinoids are sold under the brand names Rutin,
Hesperiden, CVP, duo-CVP, Hesper capsules, Hesper bitabs and are
included in numerous vitamin/mineral supplements.
Enough bioflavinoids are present in food to make supplements
unnecessary in healthy humans.
Commercial products such as tablets or capsules often contain
vitamin C.
