KNOWN EFFECTS

Protects scraped tissues. Forms bulk in intestinal tract. Interferes with absorption of iron and other minerals when taken internally.

Miscellaneous information
All parts of flax can contain toxic chemicals, but immature seeds grown in warm climates may have higher toxic concentrations. Linamarin may be converted to cyanide in the body.

UNPROVED SPECULATED BENEFITS

Soothes coughs. Oil softens or smoothes skin. Is used as a bulk-forming laxative. Is used for poultices to apply to chest for colds and coughs. (See Glossary)

Don't take if you:
Are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or plan pregnancy in the near future.
