HOW TO GIVE NOSE DROPS
Lay your child down on his back on a bed or sofa.
Bend his head over the edge of the bed so that his nostrils are pointing toward the ceiling.
Quickly squirt about 3/4 of a dropperful of the prescribed children's nose drops well into each nostril.
The child will probably object strenuously because it stings a little.
Continue holding your child down while you count slowly to 20. This will give the nose drops time to drain well down into the nasal passages.
Repeat no oftener than every 4 hours.
Do not give nose drops for more than 3 consecutive days. Children quickly lose their responsiveness to them and, after 3 days, drops just irritate the nose!
Never use any strong adult nose drops in your child.
Do not use nose drops with an oil base in infants. Check the label carefully.
